I really like cardiff as a city. it's fun, vibrant, has a great friendly atmosphere to it and is really modern, as you'd expect a capital city to be.

Cardiff has a good selection of shops, restaurants, bars, cafes and a really buzzing nightlife, perfect for all the students there.

I've always found it to be a really friendly city, with great places to explore like cardiff bay with the welsh assembly buildings and thea local markets.

Definitely worth exploring if you've never been before.

Cardiff is a bright and bustling city with loads of culture and shopping to be had.
The main shopping centre is full to the brim of popular shops which are easy to get around with a buggy .When i have breast fed my babies i have never been frowned upon here.
right in the city centre you have cardiff castle which is a truly amazing building the grounds in which it is set are stunning .Not far from the centre (just a short walk) you have Cardiff indoor arena which holds concerts as well as sporting events .
Cardiff also houses a wonderful university and two hospitals universty hospital of wales and LLandough Llandough is a wonderful hospital and i cannot thank them enough for the care that they gave me and my small baby .
The people of cardiff are some of the friendliest you could ever happen to meet .
There are loads of pubs clubs and restaurants a truly wonderful city .

Cardiff is a city full of life, it has a great shopping base and is very busy all times of the day. The night life is very lively too. Parking or driving round the city is as you would expect a city yo be, very slow due to the volume of traffic, however once you have parked everything is easy to walk to. The Welsh Institute of Sport is a great sports venue, with the millennium stadium right next door. Get here early as all the sports people want to park here and its fills up very quickly. From here you can stroll along the river (I always seem to be here in the rain so not so pleasant) not forgetting the castle is also sited here in the park
There are plenty of places to eat and drink for families and for couples or groups of people, Cardiff really is a city for everyone.
Accessed via the M4 its only a few minutes before you arrive here. Down by the docks has all been refurbished and there is a lovely area to stroll around or get something to eat whilst looking out over the bay.
There is also a university here making the city full of young and interesting characters

I lived in Cardiff for over a year and I absolutely love everything about this city. Cardiff is the capital of Wales and home to the famous Millenium Stadium which hosts endless football and rugby matches aswell as many music concerts, when the city is hosting a big match it does get very busy and the city centre is usually shut to vehicles and the various park and rides based on the outskirts of the city need to be used. There are also regular trains stopping at Queen street staitin which takes you right into the centre of the city.
The shops in Cardiff are amazing, you can always find what you are looking for, and all the high street names are based in massive stores usually over a couple of floors.
Cardiff is also very famous for its University, because of this the city is always busy with tourists, students and commuters.
The night life in Cardiff is also very popular, with several giant night clubs and hundreds of pubs and bars it is always a great night out and drinks are usually cheap, although because of this, there is a high police presence especially at weekends and you will usually see several fights break out before the end of the night.
I would recommend a trip to this city to anyone it is amazing and has something for everyone.

Cardiff is the capital of wales, and it has changed alot over the years. There is always something going on in cardiff, whether it be a football match a concert, or just more building work. The town is currently being changed into a much bigger shopping centre, and its big as it is. The parking can be diffficult in cardiff however, and ive been in long queues in my time just trying to get a space.

There are loads of pubs, clubs, restuarant, shops etc. You really are spoit for choice. The main shopping area is pedestrainsed and often there are alot of street performers and rides to keep you entertained.

There are also alot of hotels in cardiff, the best by far is the macdonald house and this is very central to the main street.

There are several theatres, an ice rink, cinema, university, museum etc. There is also a very upmarket area of cardiff, called cardiff bay, and this is where doctor who is filmed! There are lots of posh and fancy restaurants and pubs around here, and its the most pretty part of cardiff, with alot of the wealthiest people living here.

The university in cardiff is very big, and a very popular university amongst many people across the uk. It has a great business school and the student union is always busy.

Cardiff is a very busy town, with many events taking place here, the nightlife is excellent, and you really will be spoilt for choice in this capital.

I have visited Cardiff, quite a few times as my sister used to go to university here and I always loved it! Itts an amazing city, with endless amounts to do and the best part is that the locals are extremely friendly! Cardiff is a really good university and is home to alot of students, so is a very student friendly place, and so for students, living here is pretty cheap, like housing, Nightlife, buses etc. Cardiff is really good for shopping, and has two massive shopping centres, with all the shops you can think of, if not more! The city centre is very nice and clean, and even Just walking around is just lovely, from Looking at the buildings and parks, itts always a nice atmosphere! The Nightlife is great too, with lots of bars and clubs to choose from, there is something for everyonees tastes. There are also lots of restaurants around Cardiff, loads in the student areas, which are very tasty and cheap!
Cardiff bay is a really nice day out, with lots of cafes and restaurants.

What a brilliant city to be in, live in and to visit. Apart from the fact that it''s in Wales (which is a massive dissappointment), Cardiff is wicked. It''s got a great University and loads of brilliant shops, and not just that, it''s great because the cost of living there is fairly reasonable and the price of housing is good too (particularly after the drop in the housing market). Finally, Cardiff is in a good location, no more than two hours from London and near enough to the majority of Wales and the South of England.

I'' have been to cardiff several times when i have come up to visit the uni and i love it! Hopefully coming to cardiff permentantly in september for uni! The city is one of the aspects that drew me to the uni! It is excellent shopping - has two big indoor shopping centres right in the centre, lovely little one off cafes and bars and little coffee shops! They have a massive staduim/areana which show concerts and comedians.. it is massive, so it holds big venues! The city is clean and well kept! The nightlife is amazing, with many big clubs such as oceana, tiger tiger, jacks, and many more!!! It is quite close to the coast aswell, so throughout the summer time, when there is nice weather (hmmmmmmmmm), Cardiff is in a great location to get to the beach, quick and easily!! I find that all the welsh people are very friendly and welcoming!! Cardiff is fairly close to brisol, only a short car journey or train trip, which is great as you get the best of both cities, which are very close! I find that the housing and accomodation in Cardiff is very reaonsable... as are other things... which i have found alot cheaper that areas in England. The City is very studenty, which reflects the fact that the university is very close to the centre of town!

Cardiff hasnt been the capital city of Wales for long but in that time it has certainly changed a lot. At the start of its life it was one of the most successful ports in the UK and has changed into a great modern city European Capital of Cool according to some. The Bay has gone through the most development recently with the building of the Wales Millennium Centre which is not only an amazing piece of architecture but is an excellent theatre with a great variety of very famous acts visiting. Outside is the famous fountain (under which lies Torchwood) on Roald Dahl plaza which leads along to the Norwegian church which houses the Roald Dahl museum. Continuing the walk along the bay you should see both the new and old Welsh Assembly buildings and the beautiful marina. At the end of the bay you get to Techniquest, a great museum for kids of all ages with a number of hands on activities which are both fun and educational. In the centre of Cardiff is a great shopping centre and great variety of entertainment venues and a great museum which has free entry. Moving out of the city you come to the great museum of Welsh life called St. Fagans. Compromising of a number of old houses that have been moved there brick by brick in their original state. Great to relive the Wales past!
