Beeston is located between Chilwell and Nottingham. Beeston is the biggest of towns but harbours some great shops and point of references. Turning onto Queens Road into Beeston you first come along a lot of little shops which include Harley Davidson bike shop and a few paper shops. Heading closer in to Beeston there is the large multi story parking which is very safe and secure parking. Below the car park is the bus station which is very busy and full of buses at all times heading mostly into Nottingham but some heading to other little towns such as Bulwell and Arnold so there is no problem in getting about.
Beeston is not only full of everything you need it is also a very beautiful place to visit. Most of the streets are full of trees and other greenery and its splendid flower arrangements hanging from nearly every lampost and shop.

Beeston is very close to Nottingham, being just 4 miles along the road, so if you are staying in Beeston you can still have a good club night out or hit the big stores you only find in a city. Beeston itself is a pretty little village with far too many charity shops in the main shopping centre but that is true of a lot of places these days. It has a good shopping centre with most of the smaller chains like Boots etc and a market held under cover in the pedestrian area every Friday and Saturday. You can get some great fruit and veg and fresh food and we stocked up there rather than go to the local supermarket! Nothing better than fresh salad still with mud on from the fields! Beeston is on the main rail network so easy to get to. The large hotel near the station (the Victoria) has some great jazz nights. We went a couple of times last summer and really enjoyed the evening. Beeston also has a marina on the River Trent, which is next to the Attenborough Nature Reserve with plenty of walks and wildlife and the Marina has a nice caff/restaurant where you can get a decent lunch.
