I live very close to Barnsley and i find it very easy to travel within.People are very nice and friendly there. Its a lovely place to visit.I normally go to Barnsley to go and look around the shops, which are all great. They also have some really nice and friendly pubs.It can get really busy during the week and on a saturday during traffic hour, but then so can anywhere else. When i go shopping in Barnsley,i always find many bargains. The cost of living is quite low in Barnsley.I would recommend anyone thinking about going to Barnsley to go,im very sure they will not be disappointed.

Barnsley college can help people through degree etc that are validated by Leeds University. it is a lovely place to go
Barnsley is a lovely place the people are really friendly. There is a great variety of shops available, including the major highstreet retailers. There are lots and lots of pubs and the nightclubs are close to the town centre.
The buses run regularly and the roads in and around barnsley are well signed and lead easily in and out of the town.
There can be a lot of traffic during rush hour and on a saturday.
There is a nice new pizza hut and bingo hall near the travel lodge. And lots of take aways and places to eat.

Having visited barnsley regularly for work purposes I have found it an area which is very easy to travel within. In 3 years i have never stuggled to find my destination as the area is set out so well. I have worked in Barnsley at various trades and found there is plenty of work available. The people of Barnsley are also so friendly and cannot do enough to help you. Barsley is also home to Barnsley F.C. who in recent years have been the major source of investment for the area. There are plenty of shopping opportunities within Barsnley as well as in the surrounding areas. I belive Barnsley is agreat place to live, work or even just for a day out!

Having spent 2 years living and working in Barnsley after moving up from Devon I have to say it is one of the friendliest towns I have ever lived in.
The people were so welcoming and always helpful, and the general atmosphere of the town was great.
I loved shopping in the market, along with the Alhambra Centre, and the nights out were quite something - so many pubs in such a small area!
The cost of living is slightly less than living down south as the house prices (including rental) are lower than most places around the country, though this does not mean that the houses are bad - there are some lovely properties around in the various districts.
There are several decent out of town shopping centres within the surronding area, including Parkgate Retail park in Rotherham, and Cortonwood near Wombwell, not to mention the huge shopping mall that is Meadowhall in Sheffield.
