I think Rotheram is a lovely place.I dont live in Rotheram but do live very close and often go to Rotheram for the day.I mainly enjoy taking my children to clifton park,it is a lovely place for a family day out.I also enjoy going to the shops in the town centre.I enjoy taking my children to the funfair when it is there, because unlike Sheffield where i live the rides are very cheap. So it can be made into a lovely family day out, where the children have alot of fun without breaking the bank.I would really recommend anyone to try Rotheram out and im sure they will love it.

I''ve visited this town many times. A great and busy town with lots to see and do. The town centre boasts many shops including most high street shops such as Primark, Boots, WH Smith etc. There is often free entertainment during summer months in the main centre of town, this year there was a seaside theme with sand for the children to build sandcastles. With a train station and regular buses this town is accesible from almost anywhere.
The main park is set on a vast amount of hilly land. With so much to do. A lovely park, a small one for under 5''s and a large one for all ages. There is a skating park also which is well maintained. A funfair is also set in the park and open at certain times throughout the year and most of summer. The rides are usually 50p which makes it a bargain day out. Alot of rides on offer for all ages.
There are also many events at the park, often free ones set up by the local council or other organisations. I went to the Rotherham show,a great free day out with so much to see, lots for the kids too. The park offers beautiful scenery which makes it the perfect setting for a picnic and relaxing day out.
The nightlife is great and very reasonable prices, some bars offer drinks for 1 each and most have special offers on. The night club Synergy is a fun night out, the last time I went it was 5 entry which gave you 5 x free drinks- bargain!!
Nice friendly atmosphere.

Rotheram is a proud place that is home to very proud people. Although there are loads of places in Britain that look nicer, few have a harder working history. You can see what coal mining has done to the area in some parts. Even more clear is what is being done about it. Rotherham is a home to a some very important coal mining recovery through redevelopment. It''s nice to see this change happening. I''m aware of some important and well funded programs in this area. I like the amount of business that some of the newer areas have brought in.
Rotherham itself as all of the necessary vitals to sustain living here. If you wanted some fantastic shopping you can always go up the road to Sheffield for it. Rotherham will probably always be in Sheffield''s shadows when it comes to shopping.
It''s strategically placed and easy to get around to other locations. Sheffield is 10 minutes or so away and Nottingham can be reached in around 25 minutes. Because there are so many ways in and out of Rotherham, it makes it a safe bet to get to and from where you need to go.

Ive visited this town on a few occasions but not for a few Years Now, Its a medium sized place with some good Points , The travel system is rather good and id
Admit they were so much better than local places around my own area, There are a few Parks that will benefit the children of all ages whether its playing football or feeding the
Ducks, The kids will definatly like the science centre which is local to rotherham, With good prices its a good day out, The butterfly farm is also
a good day out mostly for the older or younger child, Older for the education part, younger because they find it very Funny, Rotherham is just Bus drive away from Sheffield itself,
The town centre does have some good shops , Rotherham is rather football based community and rotherham football team is highly appricated in the town.
Oakwood pool is also a very popular place for people of all ages, Clifton park Museum is beautiful and very highly recommended, beautiful surroundings,
I believe its been refubished lately which will benefit the income of the museum.
If its local its a good place but i wouldnt travel if i didnt need to.
